gartesian asked: Do you know if NYU Wagner has a good network in Los Angeles?
That’s a great question! From an admissions point of view, California is one of our largest states represented in prospective/admitted students so that contributes a great deal to our network. We also have a very strong alumni network in that area. The group is so large, in fact, that it has its own alumni regional network group, just for LA.
Some of our institutes, including the Research Center for Leadership in Action (RCLA) have programs and initiatives that work with cities other than New York, like Los Angeles.
On a career front, I know that the City of Los Angeles has employed NYU Wagner students. If students are looking for internships or jobs in Los Angeles, our Office of Career Services (OCS) at NYU Wagner has an extensive directory and a very helpful staff that can help you find the right opportunities to fit your work experiences and interests within your geographic region. Students also have access to NYU’s Wasserman Center for Career Development which services the entire university as a one stop shop for all your job hunting needs.
Thanks for your question. Please feel free to send any other questions you may have!
